Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks

Named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, the park consists of five islands namely Gaya, Sapi, Manukan, Mamutik and Sulug. These five islands are located close to each other with Gaya Island being the biggest one of the five.

These islands are relatively close to the city of Kota Kinabalu with about  20 minutes of a boat ride. You can take the boat easily from either Jesselton Jetty Point, Sutera Harbour Resort or Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort.

What to do on these islands? Go island hopping from one island to the other! Go snorkeling, sunbathing, scuba diving to look at lovely corals and reefs, visit the mangrove trees and other botanical species, or even camp overnight!
